Raynes, Mary

In Latin: Within seven ells of this monument lies Mary Raynes, wife of Thomas Raynes Esq., and daughter of Robert Conyers Esq., of Boulby, Yorkshire. She lived distinguished by her virtues and expired amidst the unspeakable tortures of gangrene, which she endured with astonishing patience, on the 20th December 1689.
