Left panel: This monument is erected in memory of the right wor. Iohn Mingay Maior of this City Ao Dni 1617, and of Susan his wife daughter of Richard Skynner gent; wch said Iohn & Susan had issue 7 Children fower sonns & three daughters, they both lived lovingly together in wedlock 44 yeares untill death did part him from her the last day of Ianuary 1625, being aged 69 yeares & 9 months, & she left this life the 18 day of August, 1642.
