To the memory of John Fox, a Native or Ireland, Went to live in his youthful Days with Charles Seymour: Duke of Somerset: afterward with Jocelyn Sidney, Earl of Leicester till his Death: and then with the Rt. Hon Rich: Earl Temple: whom God preserve. He died Oct ye 15th, 1764, aged 57. With Patience to the last I did Submit/ And murmer'd not at what ye Lord thought fit./ After grievous Illness, Smart and Pain,/ When Doctor's Skill and Physick prov'd in vain,/ I with Christian courage did resign,/ [... ...] at the appointed time.
