Thurstone, Morrell

In Latin: Near the remains of his parents beneath rests Morrell Thurstone. While he sought to live unnoticed, the distinguished qualities of his mind, visible to all, did not allow it: the integrity of his life, his unblemished faith, the simplicity of his manners, and his utterly unaffected piety. Unwillingly he shone forth openly, a true guardian of virtue and its inflexible defender. A bachelor, he died 18 February 1747. For her uncle, who had deserved so well of her, from Sara, her most beloved sister, Maria Franckwell placed this marble.
