who, as a pastor, was vigilant and zealous.
These and other things are testified by the Church:
adorned with genius, zeal, and learning;
with piety toward God, love toward his family,
and fidelity toward his friends,
and a life consistent with his teaching, not unworthy of much praise,
he bade farewell to mortality, not to life,
on February 10th, in the year of Christ 1776,
aged 60.
