Bathurst, Henry

In Latin: To the most reverend father in Chris, Henry Bathurst D. C. L., Bishop of Norwich, who, while he presided over this diocese for more than thirty years, conciliated the goodwill of all by his candour of character, mildness of manners, and sweetness of speech. His friends took care to have this likeness set up as a testimony to the longing they feel for so dear a mentor. He died on the 5 day of April, in the Year of the Lord 1837, aged 92.
